All of a sudden, life has changed. We are not going out to work, to restaurants, to movies, to social gatherings. We are home, trying to stay healthy and dealing with the inner fallout of uncertainty, anxiety, and fear. This is the time to ground ourselves in the Course and to draw close to others who share our path.
To help meet this need, Emily and I held a series of Text discussions over Zoom every weekday for three months, from March - June 2020. Following the Circle’s Text reading schedule for the calendar year, we selected a passage from the section for the day and I led a 15-20 minute teaching based on that passage. Afterwards, we discussed questions from the passage or from the Course in general.
All in all, we hosted 63 classes and used our time to draw strength from the Course and from each other. Hopefully, together we can now use that strength to be beacons of light as we continue through these times of great challenge.
